Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500+
2.2GHz
NVIDIA 6150 LE
1.5GB of RAM
Vista Ultimate
My computer absolutely blows with almost any game. I'm not sure if its just my graphics card or its my whole computer, but I'm thinking of getting an NVIDIA 8000+. Or should I just get a whole new computer?
If anyone can recommend a computer company, like iBUYPOWER, or a nice website to buy from, that'd be great. I know newegg is a decent site.

XP = faster because it uses less memory
Vista = smoother - its just how its designed, which is why it eats up more ram

WHO THE F*CK still say's upgrade to XP....
Dude you need to stop asking your little friends if vista is good and try your self...
What would you use the computer for. Gaming/Homework/Web/E-mail/video editing/photoshop/programming
and What kind of games...
I defenity say new pc
6150 is really really really old now and its time for an upgarde.
Your ram is fine but i'd go for 2gb/4gb depending on what you'll use ur pc for.
Vista Ultimate is fine. Is it 32/64 bit?
I would Defenitly go for an intel now.
I'd recommend the Inetl core 2 Qaud
Q6600 2.4ghz/Q9450 2.66ghz/Q9550 2.83ghz

Yeah I just bought Vista Ultimate x64 and aside from the pretty effects it's much more smoother in comparison to XP, but that's just my opinion. I really haven't seen too many bugs like people have mentioned.

And then there's the faster equivalent of Vista Aero, Linux Beryl. Install Cedega and you can play every single windows game available...
