Hi, lately me keyboard has been acting weird(im on a laptop) Whenever I try to type something it starts spamming the left button. i fixed it to a sense by hitting the laptop, but is it internal or external? Do I have to take it to a shop? Please help.

Is your laptop keyboard acting weird or are you in a laptop because another computer keyboard is acting weird?

I'm not sure about this but if u can see between the left button if there is dust there, pop it out and clean all the dust.
WARNING!!! I haven't done this before on a laptop so ask someone else before you do this.

Also try run Linux on it as a test, because if it is a virus the virus won't run on linux.

When a key(s) is stuck you should hear a constant beep.

For desktop try a different keyboard.
For notebooks disconnect your keyboard that's build in, check your owners manual on how to do it. Be careful as you do not yank out the cable from its socket. Most will be locked down by a plastic tab. Unlock that tab and the ribbon can be gently pulled out.
Plug in USB keyboard and see if the problem still exist, if yes then it's most likely a software conflict or your Windows has problems and has to be reinstalled.

Get a foldable USB keyboard if your keyboard is indeed not good.

ok, i think its stuck because it beeps wheni turn it on and dont hold down the right arrow key... Thanks for the feedback and please tell me how to unstick it. This is a serious matter because its a school laptop.

There really isn't a way to "unstick" it as the membrane under that key isn't contacting with it. The most likely culprit is the key sensor build onto the PCB.

Here is example of how a laptop keyboard looks like without the keys.
Notice the individual dots? When you strike a key the membrane hits those dots and then sends the correct letter or command onto your computer.

As for being a school laptop, your school cannot blame that on you as you'll never know when electronic parts may brake.

It's like a car... the you drove out early today, but when you decided to go back out in the afternoon the engine died. So how do you explain that?

And whatever you do, don't try to open it or else you'll be responsible for it. Just take it back and let them do the fixing.

happened to my desktop keyboard b4, i spilled nestea on the number pad. the next day when i use it, the number pad just types by it self. fixed it after i opened it and use wet cloth tho clean the stain on the plastic sheets
