I've never played Fable.
But, seeing all the hype it has, I'm probably gonna get the second one for X360 when it comes out.

I let my friend borrow it, he had never heard of it or played it.(he played it on his 360, he never owned an original xbox, so i kick his ass at halo 1 and 2 but he wins at halo 3 cuz it's all he does.)
He beat it, and next time he had money he pre-ordered 2.

I consider this fan-hype.
You just made the soon to be series sound good.
