lol 8gb is a lot, and more than enough. Is it possible for a laptop to hold 8gb?

if you stick two 4gb ram sticks in it would be possible, but that's if the mobo can handle it.

Not true. Of all the software I use, both new and old, the only thing I wasn't able to make work was one of my gameboy emulators. 64-bit is starting to mature and 99% of software will run just fine on it.

Someone told me that WinXP can't hold more than 4GBs of RAM without messing up, is that true? o.O

32bit will only support upto 4gb, 64bit can go up to 8
