ok so god created the sky which seperated the water below the sky from the water above the sky.
what the hell is water above the sky.
above the sky we know that there is space, which is the universe.
so according to that logic, the entire universe must have been water.
so he created the sky, which seperated the water, from the other water, thus creating a sphere of water with some air seperating it from the rest...... and what the hell happened to the rest.

Edit: Nvm, I found it.
I guess it means if you believe the bible that god had a shit load of water up above the sky. (Which I presume fell for the flood when the heaven opened)
Or if you don't believe the bible I guess it shows that early people had no idea how rain was made...
