The speakers should be at ear range. in other words same table as the monitor.

I would want to get rid of that second monitor. Having the speaker down there is useless (Unless you like listening to one channel of music [mono], by all means, keep it). Care to explain what exactly you do with that second monitor, to clarify?

It was used for msn - internet usage... he was too lazy to switch tabs.

| i think its a good setup, because ur facing the monitor ur going to do main applications with, and u can tilt ur head a little to check on what songs ur listening to, etc.

Yeah double the electricity usage! great idea just to see what song is coming next.
Otherwise its pretty fancy. But i would suggest 2 identical monitors next time.

I don't know if this'll work, but looking at your desk space, I can estimate that you can:
1) Remove the lamp (or keep it, given there is still enough space)
2) Move everything to the left (Speaker is at the edge)
3) Stick that extra speaker down there on the far right (would the wires even reach :S)
-Or-
1) Move the left speaker to the edge, then move the Dell Monitor beside it
2) Move the silver monitor to the right
3) Stick the speaker down there in the middle of the two monitors
But that's just me. I don't know if it'll appeal to you.

| Move forward the right monitor, and you can basically have the speakers behind the monitor.

time for an audio addict to tune in on this!
i say the speaker setup is one of the worst i've ever seen.
the ideal setup is:
1. place your speakers at ear hight (also, if you hang them up they don't use desk space)
2. place them so that they form a triangle with your head
3. tilt them towards you (DO NOT LAY THEM DOWN, IT FUCKS UP THE BASS)
i don't know if it makes a lot of difference, but it sure does in my 400 USD setup
