Use a better browser
Get a better internet provider
Use a LAN connection instead of wireless
Get a better computer if you run many programs
Don't run as much programs that use internet such as downloading.

You have to divide the speed you get by 8, to get the actual one.

Well not so much the "actual" one but you're on the right track.
The speed your ISP tells you, as well as the speed most speed tests will tell you is in kilobits per second. The speed your download manager will tell you is in kilobytes per second. There's 8 bits in a byte, so that's why they're different.

| yeah comcast is expensive and its pretty slow its like 20-30 dollars for the first 6 months then its like 60 dollars a month but i would suggest to get verizon fiberoptics or qwest fiberoptics too bad neither r available in my location

| Speedtest.net is not reliable very miss-leading and inaccurately. Relying in speedtest is just a stupid idea, and sitting and boasting about it just sound lame.

How can you say it's bullshit if you never tried it? And you never even heard much about it then. It doesn't make your internet faster in the point that you will get 50 downloads down in 1 second. It gives a smoother connection and operates on a different channel. It also gives you the option to give priority to things you want so the games that you want to play get the internet first. It still depends on your internet provider.

Yes I've tested one, and it's the biggest fucking gimmick I've ever seen. Absolute garbage.
Protip: the weakest link in your network is your internet connection, get a good modem and router if anything.
