Looking at Intel's mobile Penryn-based, 45nm Core 2 Duo processor line-up techinical document, most of their mobile Penryn-based processors have a TDP of 35W (except for the Core 2 Extreme variants and the power-optimized versions). The difference in power from the OCZ SSD and the other competing HDDs are from 1-2W, so I doubt it would make much of a difference in battery life if you look at how much power the CPU and GPU draw at near max load.

I'm looking at the P8400 cpu right now, especially since it uses 25W compared to the more normal 35W.

I'll have to debate whether its worth the 1-2W difference, but I have a feeling it won't be worth it (though I must admit a part of me still wants to get a ssd just to say that I have one >.>" ). Then again a 500GB 5400RPM 2.5" HD came out a little while ago, so I could just opt for that drive instead.
