I dont know the dell tech support told me the computer can only handle 256mb because the power supply doesnt have enough power to support it
|
It might still work.
I have a 9600GT (overclocked)
And it works just fine with my 350W PSU,
even though it "requires" 400W minimum.
But that might be because nearly all of my other parts are "energy efficient"

i dont suppose its 8600GT
is there 8800GT 256mb? |
1gb gddr3 is the strongest I've seen. |
The Diamond VFX 2000 for professional graphics based on the HD 2900XT has 2GB of ram!
That's 2GB of GDDR4!
And no it's not a dual gpu solution like the HD3870 X2 or 9800GX2 it's actually 1 single gpu with 2GB of ram all to itself!

Hmm well i didnt want to take any risk so i just bought a 256 mb 8600GTS Superclocked
Its a killer
anyways, will a 20inch monitor be very different from a 19inch?
Like upgrading from 19 to 20, will it be a big impact on gaming performance?

Yes, there will be a noticeable difference in speed, as most 19" screens use resolutions of 1280x1024 or 1440x900, compared to 20" screens that use 1600x1200 or 1680x1050. I'd say about 5 FPS lost with your setup.
You can use the -DEVMODE target line command to monitor the number of FPS you're getting in Crysis.
