It's only like a 10% increase.. not that much of a big deal, but I have 8 GBof RAM, which should help a bit.

Having a 45nm process doesn't make a processor any faster, only making it run cooler and with less voltage. There is a boost with SSE4, but the boost varies by program (and the program also has to support SSE4).

Almost all applications won't use much more than 1GB at a time, including Crysis. Running Crysis and all your other background applications should be smooth with 2GB of RAM (as long as you don't overdo the game settings).
