I know in general that drivers are used to help the OS communicate with the hardware. But then there are general purpose drivers too. But besides that, what can drivers help you do? Like, what was it that KiKi did, he did like a SendInput bypass or something using a driver, right? I don't really get how drivers help you there.

A driver is just an executable with an elevated privilege level; nothing more and nothing less.

All process share the same top 2GB of process memory, so yes technically it is loaded into every process. However, referencing usermode addresses from a kernelmode driver is far from safe.

I believe that I read something in a boot ( Rootkits: Subverting the Windows Kernel by Greg Hollund and some other guy ), I read that one of the CR regs has something to do with that, but since I'm not at home with my ebook, I'm not sure.

You should look into getting that book, it's really pretty usefull.
