I have a wireless internet using a PCI wireless adapter.
Is there anything that will help improve my internet connection, as in speeding up download speed, making pages load faster, by buying some type of hardware such as getting a better modem or PCI card?

Using a cable is better. Wireless tends to be slower in most modems.

I could tell you to get a new antenna but those are costly and suck compared to running ethernet.
