the dell case from 2004 does not help... Do you know how many computers Dell made in 2004? For all we know this computer could be as big as my palm... or as big as the empire state building.
Also, i havent really heard of that brand of PSU, so ill check my list to see what tier that is in... _________________

I think it will fit because I found a lot of empty space. _________________

If I could see the case, I could answer the first question. Yes that PSU should work.
That 8800 is 8 or 9 inches long. Might be too big for your case. Do you know the name of your case? _________________

| Most Dell cases I've seen will only fit a microATX board, while the one you selected is a full ATX so more likely than not, it won't fit. |

If you're on a budget:

My friend has it. Looks much better than in the picture, seems to be of good quality, and has 3 120mm fan mounts, two of which come with fans in them.
If you're willing to spend a bit more, the Antec 900 or P180 are both great cases. |

Yep, they'll be standard IDE so you'll be fine there. |

And sound card will be good also?
So really I'm building a whole new computer. Kick ass. Next I buy a giant ass screen. Thank you Cheetah. When I get my parts I'll give you 10$ or buy a month off of a game. And bam too. _________________

My dad's Dell Dimension 4550 from 2004 is a mid tower. It fits full-size ATX motherboards. The exact model would help.
You might want to consider keeping the old computer building the new computer without any parts from the old computer. You could trade in your old computer for a gift card.
Optical drives are usually IDE (but a few are PATA).
You might want to search around other retailers to find the best deals. Frys and Newegg have good deals most of the time (depending on the component). Even Best Buy and Circuit City (19" Wide LG monitor for $130, instant rebates only) still have rare, but good deals too.
I want $10 too! LOL, jk. I'll earn the money myself. _________________
