Have you ever researched it or debugged it yourself? It's a huge waste of resources. Yes, you are free to use what you want, but I suggest not using it.
As for everything else you listed, you can do all those with other functions.

No reason to use system() to waste resources when you have functions that do the same thing.

i havnt read the 2nd page yet but wow.....all that just to find an alternative to get the color and title.....theres no point -_- system is fine and there is NOTHING wrong with it...stop trying to show off and make things more confusing for learning people

System sucks. Its horrible to use. It it slower, less efficient, and just a bad habit Wiccaan is right, get over it. |

Like your signature says, you are learning. Do some research on using system(), for example this site gives a general overview why it's bad:

But like I previously stated, you should debug it yourself and take a look at all the junk it does that isn't needed which can be replaced with two simple lines of code.
"All that just to find an alternative.." all what? It took like 2 seconds to use Google to find those functions. Yeah, I didn't remember them off the top of my head because they are things I don't care about, but that doesn't mean you should hinder your program using something that isn't efficient.
I'm not showing off, I could care less how others see me on these forums, I am just trying to suggest better things to you so your program runs better, has more portability, etc.
