Thats the hex value yeah.
If you want to use it on the net I suggest searching something like Beige color code in google.
What you want is html.

If this is happening while editing images, try changing the color mode.
Image -> Mode -> RGB Color

It's already on RGB color.
Also, it's happening when I also view images on Windows Photo Gallery

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest checking the color profile for your monitor/video card in the display settings.
Only thing I can think of.

I had the same problem, and that's one of the things I did to try to fix it. It works now for me at least (one of the things I did fixed it).
EDIT: I think I've got it. Go View > Proof Setup > Monitor RGB
It should fix it (beige to white).
Also have Proof Colors checked.
