|
|
Some time ago, i broke my HDD (somehow, it melted, and it wont turn on anymore...), so i went for a new hard-disk
Now, ill need to install Windows at it once again (i got an old Windows XP Home Edition CD), but when i try to install it, it gives me an error, and tells me that it cant find the HDD (the install CD is Danish, so i cant give you the exact error...)
How would i solve this?
I'll try to put the HDD into my other comp (i got 4 lolz O.o), and see if that works..., but it might not

Insert the CD, follow on-screen instructions and be sure to create a NTFS partition. Install the OS onto that partition.

Are the jumpers on it correctly?
Did you remove the melted HD? (Btw, how did you melt it?)
Are all the cables pushed in all the way?
And do make sure to make the HD into a NTFS, FAT32 is so freaking annoying...
