They're using a 3-channel DDR3 memory controller that's integrated into the CPU rather than the northbridge, which should provide far more bandwidth and lower latency over current products. 32GB/s theoretical memory bandwidth and a six-slot board will hold 24GB of DDR3. This should also (hopefully) mean motherboards will be a bit cheaper with less logic used on them, the downside of course being a new socket will be needed every time they want to support a new memory technology.

It's also going to support multi-threading like the old P4's with HT. Looks like no hex or octo-cores this year though Sad

Word on the street is a 30-40% increase over current Core2 architecture.

Looks like it's gonna be expensive as fuck though considering no direct competition from AMD.

Oh man. The world is not ready for this. Triple Channeling? The northbridge is so intimidating =(. Are there pics of the I/O?

I guess its the triple channel RAM....
