I've rebooted my computer and whenever I try to play Warcraft III I get an Avast! AntiVirus error message about the same file. Is there a way to avoid that short of stopping Avast?

has avast got exceptions or exclusions? if it does you can put your warcraft.exe as an exception.

click on the (a) incon in your taskbar to bring up the avast! on access scanner window

click on standard shield to select it

click on the customize button

click on the advanced tab


click on the add button

enter the path and/or file


handy for stopping cheat engines dbk.dll getting zapped
you can add the folder and files to the ignore list
