which part of the computer that causes lag or freeze the game?

please list-

please dont say "UR INTERNET CONNECTION" or "UR COMPUTER SUCKS,GET A NEW ONE"

its because i'm having a problem with lag and game freezing every moment, i know its not my connection, because i tried playing on my brothers laptop and it works fine. and its not a virus because i reformatted my computer.

this happen randomly or suddenly on that day and its been continuing and its gone worse, if happened like every 10minute, now it happend like every 1 minute, and lag last for like 2minutes.

It could be one of the following but there might be more possibilities:

    Graphics Card
    Power Supply
    CPU
    HDD

You mean, there have been short circuits or something similar?
And all those parts, I listed could have provoked the issue you're experiencing.

How do you know your Graphics card or your Power Supply isn't the issue regarding your problem?
And, "GPU" is your Graphics Processing Unit and so, as I have mentioned before, graphics card could be the main source of your issue.

LAG on MAPLESTORY, Warcraft 3, WoW, Counter-Strike.

well do i need to buy new graphic chip?
because i've been using this graphic card for like 1 year, and all my games were running fine. i'm pretty sure it something else.

By the way, why don't you list your whole system specifications then, so I know what you have currently and so maybe I could help you more efficiently. And can't you see your graphics card is slowly dying, and now, is the time to replace it!

Have you tried replacing another graphics card with the one you have at the moment and seeing if there's any problems using the one you replaced with? Well, at the moment, you have a nVidia GeForce 6200, you could go to nearby shop and purchase a new graphics card .

Otherwise, if it's not related to your graphics card, try to see if anything else needs replacement and see if the replacements work instead.

Open up your chassis.
And clean out all the dust inside. Smile

The graphics card you have (GeFore 6200) is the most likely cause of your lag. You have a dedicated graphics card, so it is an entire card, not only a chip. The graphics card should be in the top-most slot on your motherboard.

Try playing the games offline. If it still lags, then we know it's your hardware. If it doesn't lag, then it could be your network latency (ping), or a server-side fault.

yeah i played wc3(no Bnet) its the computer not the network,
and i sucked all the dust. its really clean inside now even the fans.

i think something has over heated? because i left my computer for like 5 days straight, becuase i was downloading massive VIDEO(each video was like 300MB - 1GB)

EDIT: also what i realized is, i only lag when there is lots of stuff

maplestory = if there is lots of player and they're doing like attkings
wc3 = when they're lots of creeps and heroes using skills(dota)
wow = when lots of people r in the same map as me and using skills
so pretty much all the same, when they're lots of people

i've been only using computer for 1year, and my very older computer has been using the same graphic card, and been running smoothly.
