i screwed up my monitor. was angry and decided to punch my laptop monitor >.>. punched it twice and there were weird colors. tried to fix again by punching it, several cracks appeared. now im just wondering how much a fix would cost.

Well, don't you live up to your name... Usually to fix a screen on something like this would cost like 90% of what it originally cost anyways. Might as well buy a new monitor. Although it's a laptop monitor, take advantage of the warranty, see if this is covered, I doubt it, but might be a 1% chance. Going to an independent computer store might yield a 60% cost which is cheaper then going to Sony itself.

yeah. but how much would a monitor cost. its a sony vaio cr series. also, is there anyway of repairing it?

edit/ about some time in may or june, i doubt the warranty is still in effect. not sure if i bought the one year warranty or not, ill have to check that.

Are you kidding me? repairing that screen would cost more than what you bought the laptop for.. and that is why no one does it.

Also i am pretty sure you cant buy laptop monitors... but i could be wrong...

They do sell LCD's but there from sites that I wouldnt interly trust.
and who the fuck punchs a laptop monitor >.>, punch a nice big crt... that'll fix your anger.

I think there are a few Best Buys in China.

An external monitor is, like the name implies, an external monitor. You hook a monitor up to your laptop's video out port (DVI, VGA, HDMI). A TV would work (as long as your TV doesn't use composite cables or component VGA cables). If you have an HDTV, then most likely it has an HDMI port, so that's how you'll hook it up.

thanks. whats it called when the screen has colors on it? there are globs of black and white on it.
