Caseless isn't terrible... depending on your situation. You would find it hard trying to put liquid nitrogen down a tube while your CPU and motherboard is still in the case. But those are the extremes. You should have a case.
LOL at using water to clean out your components. The best way to clean out your computer (besides having someone else clean it) is to use compressed air.
Cases improve air circulation inside, so you might benefit from that. Plus there are the case fans, which will further cool your computer. I thought the Antec 900 would cool better. I'm running a stock fan on a $20 case and I get 30C average on all 4 cores idling.

I approve of this post. |
caseless does cool down your computer faster, but how about the dust? |
Use a water hose
To wash off the dust, you silly. |
I wonder how well is your computer... |
Lol
My advice would be to buy a used 900, there is NO difference, I bought mines used for $60 and It works like a charm
My specs:
E8400 Clocked at 3.9GhZ VCore (I forgot, OC'ed a while back and still stable =D)
2gb HyperX Pc6400's (Soon to be 4gb)
OC'ed BFG 8800GT (Soon to be HD 4850)
2x 250GB WD Raptors (HDD)
550W TruePower Trio PSU (Beastly fucking PSU)
Abit Ip-35 Pro P35 mobo (yas)
Generic (But reliable) dvd / cd burner yadda yadda
and of coure, my Antec 900 (Which i've had sex with 12 times)

1) Caseless is terrible i hope you all know that...
2) water = no, i know daaaaaaaaaaaaaamon is joking...
3) Having no case wont make it cool down faster... Having 5-6 fans blowing inside your case taking off the heat... yah that will... My processor stays about 30C... since i have so many fans. |
isnt that noisy..?

i don't think a $450 is really going to produce that much heat that a normal case with standard fans can't take. it's not like it's a monster gaming machine or a cancer curing computer.

True dat, but for a 450 dollar computer, he's not looking for massive load on the computer, so he doesn't need the extra cooling for it. Also at 450, I doubt he has bulky stuff to put in the case.
