The "cool" GUI that can be easily imitated on other operating systems.
The look of the computer.
Supposedly, it's better at schoolwork, music, and videos than PCs.
Schools use them (mines do) - so you can call it "propaganda" (can't really find a good word, maybe influence).
Apple makes iPods (immediate connection).

And not to mention they are hella expensive.

They think that they don't get viruses.
The look of it is sleek and very "modern" and so people think they are cool when they get it.
Nice sized monitor with no "outside" computer
Cool looking keyboard and mouse
Nice applications inside such as camera.
A lot of tech support I guess.

I personally hate them. I did a survey at my school and mac owners actually think they are better then normal people because they own a Mac. I've been to the support Genius Bar to get my ipod fixed and I've seen morons get tech support because the monitor has dust on it or something equally stupid.
