I'm trying to connect to my router:
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Bell/Speedstream6520/default.htm
i'm using a SpeedStream 6520 from Bell
I need the user and pass to access the website. it says in the manual that the user and pass should be set to: admin
but that doesn't seem to work.
i'l tried all sorts of combinations like,
USER: admin
PASS:
USER:
PASS: admin
USER: administrator
PASS: administrator
and etc

Ah, the guide probably says it may be administrator:administrator, or admin:admin.
Go to IE or Firefox and type 192.168.1.1, when it asks for the user name and password enter one of the two I posted above. If one don't work, try the other one. If there was a previous owner to this router they may have changed it in the past, so try and contact him.
I'm quite sure there's some exploits for bypassing this, so go to Google and find some guides, as I probably am not allowed to post any stuff like that here because the legal status of it is questionable.

Resetting the router doesnt involve using a cd. The reset wont touch the PC.
Check the back of the router for the user name and pass. Every router i'v seen or used has had the info on the router itself incase the manual has gone walkies.
Just do a hard reset, use the default user and pass. the setup can be done through the browser without the cd, it should be stored on the router. just make sure you set the ports if you need them.
