PROs: Neat new looking UI
CONs: More than half my old comp games dont work

PRO's: none.
CONS: shitty security, you can easily get the ui for xp, cant play alot of games, uses 2 gigs of ram while idling, ripped off of mac for most of the features, and.... ubuntu has cooler graphics, anyway.

1) they ripped off of Linux Compiz and Beryl for the graphics 
Also, i would like to know how they have shitty security? There is SOOO little proof... Oh it can get viruses! well yeah, thats because millions of people make viruses for that operating system... ¨but but, they cant protect against them¨... thats the job of you and installing an antivirus...
Microsoft is actually pretty good on protecting there users from anything BUT what the idio... people put on the computer themselves.

too bad you're wrong on every point.
The security is vastly superior.
Pretty much anything plays out of the box, otherwise use DOSBOX.
It's called superfetch you idiot, it's not just using RAM for no reason.

well, Sorry for not spending 8 hours a day researching rip-off o.s.'s...
and i based the security thing on some complaints and problems with it that i'd heard about.
And the ram usage is still pointless...

that's why i told you to look it up.
superfetch loads commonly used programs into memory so it starts faster. RAM is far faster than pulling from your harddrive.
if something else needs the memory, it gets freed.

That was for the security.
Instead of regurjitating what has been shoved down your throat by ignorant morons, do some research before you try to convince somebody that Vista is bad.
Also, it does not eat up 2 Gigs of RAM, I ran it fine on my 1GB RAM laptop (except for a little upload problem it had; but it was beta)
Also, the security beats the living shit out of any other OS, which is another reason it takes up larger quantities or RAM than other operating systems.
And if you think 1 GB of RAM is too much then you need to realize that it costs about 15 bucks, maybe less.

Then, leave Vista alone if you're "uneducated", I don't even know why you have to be 'educated' about Vista. Nothing should involve education in this. And what's the good if you just go accusing it of false accusations? Like, it has bad security and other fucking false cons.
