|
|
My laptop only starts up if the power cable is not plugged in. If i try to power on with the power cable in, at the XP loading screen, it stays wtih the xp logo and empty loading box at bottom.
Not a dire problem, I just plug power in once i sign in, but any suggestions on what is wrong and what to do is appreciated.
Just ask if you need more info.

After all the problems I've had with laptops (my fault, always doing things I shouldn't do lolz) I think I've finally found a problem I had never come across before...
Unexplicable with logic. Well put.

maybe it's got to do with your power settings in windows? have you tried booting up another OS with the power cable in?

There's probably a corruption in the boot up sequence.
I think that reformatting would fix this, but i don't know if it's worth it for such a minor problem.

No need to reformat, take your Windows XP cd, boot from disk.
Goto repair console.
and type fixboot [press enter]
reboot
should work fine.
