Time for me to build my own computer now. It's going to be my first time. And I kinda have a rough sketch about how I'mma going to do it. I just have one question. When I put everything together and turn it on, what will appear on the monitor? Do I have to buy an OS to install? or will some motherboards come with it?

You will need to get an OS. I think it will get past the BIOS, but it will ask for a boot device (which is the OS).

Ok so once it gets to the boot menu, I would have to put in the OS and install it from there?

If it is an .iso you have to burn it to a CD first, then put it in...

when you first build, it will POST and then basically tell you to get your fat ass up and put the damn OS cd in so you can get cracking.

Use a free OS.
Get a linux boot disk or something, as long as you are running ethernet you can use the net and get a PIrated version... but would just buy it, its a pain in the ass if you get it pirated.

cause I donno, it feels weird having my entire computer built on a warez. It's like wearing dirty underwear. But anyways, so I would download this warez on like a usb on another computer and install it in my new one?
