ok my i have a windows 2000 labtop and the screen resilotioun is 640X480
it wont change to 800X600 and doesnt even give me any other resiloutions

can someone help me get it to change to 800X600 please

640x480 might be the maximum resolution the monitor supports. You might want to try reinstalling the video drivers.

yeah you can fix this by (re)installing the vga drivers and sometimes installing catalyst drivers can give you more options.
