Cheat Engine

Ok so im new to cheat engine. For my first CT im trying to hack last stand 2. If u havent played last stand 2 it would help and be appreciated. So first i found the addresses (there were 3? why?) for the hours and when i inputed the values it worked fine. But when i beat the first city and went to the second the values became unkown and i was unable to change it. SO i found the pointer for the hours and it worked but when i changed cities the value again became unkown along with the adress so i was unable to change it. Ive tried other trainers for the game and they worked fine for hours. They also had things like changing rate of fire or fire type(from single to shotty). How is this possible? I was able to easily find ammo and it was fine. but how are those possible. Tips, guides, and pics would be very appreciated. Thanks guys.

if it's a flash game, no

but if it's a normal pc game, try multilevel pointers(level 1 pointers hardly ever suffice) Or pointers combined with code injection

Ok Finish the first level and stay on the search the buildings thing. Open cheat engine and click the computer, go on windows list and you shuld see last stand. Once you done that enter 96 becuase 12x8=96 ok first scan. Then repair one on last stand don't press ok. Know 11x8=88 so search that and there should only be one value there click on that. It should go down into the bottom. Right click go up to change record and go on value and change it to 799992 the mean 99999999 or something.
