Format the hard drive, reinstall Windows!

How i format my hard drive?

Download gparted and burn it to a disk. Pop it in, boot it up, delete your NTFS partition

1) how do you install what to a disc? Windows or gparted?

2) Why would you have to install a keyboard... Installing usually means software... a keyboard is hardware.

3) JIT?

Download gparted .iso... get an iso burner. Most of them have a GUI so you are on your own.

why waste a CD when you can use a removable drive?
just go into BIOS and make the boot order like this

1st = removable storage
2nd = Optical Drive
3nd = Hard Drive
4th = LAN

You can delete partitions by restarting your computer, and then pressing delete or whichever key (sometimes esc key) to get to the menu.

From there just follow what it says until you get to the partition, and press the corresponding keys to delete it.

1. Put your WinXP CD in your drive tray.

2. Go to Start|Run and type in "sfc.exe /scannow" (without the quotes). The system filechecker will run and replace any damaged system files.
