Hello,

This is what I'm using:
AMD Semptron 3xxx (Something like that)
    ASUS K8V SE Deluxe
    ATI radeon 9800 or so

When I run the pc, this happens:

First screen (probably the second because the first is too fast):
Code:
VIA Technologies, Inc. VIA VT8237 Serial ATA RAID BIOS Setting Utility v20.01
Copyright (C) VIA Technologies,, Inc. All rights reserved.

Scan Devices, Playse wait ...
Press < Tab > key in to User Window!

Serial_Ch0 Master: No device
Serial_Ch1 Master: No device

Second:
Code:
FastTrak 378 (tm) BIOS Version 100.0.37
(c) 2003 Promise Technology, INC. All rights reserved

Scanning IDE drives ...........

No drive attached to FastTrak controller, The BIOS is not installed.

Thirt: (The ASUS screen with that logo)
Code:

<logo>
Press DEL to run Setup

Fourth screen:
With that logo on the header: http://www.selenetix.com/assets/images/logo_ami.gif
Code:
Overclocking failed! Please enter Setup to re-configure your system.
Press F1 to run SETIP.
Press F2 to load default values and continue

When I press F2 then the screen with "Run windows normal" comes up.
But when I hit enter then, the COMP. does a restart.

Then I tried booting knoppix from CD, it booted but when I came into that console where I gotta enter "knoppix" that it boots it, it says
Code:
"Loading linux.............."
"Loading <something else>............."

Then it changes the screen and stays black.

What's the problem there? Please help!

The only time that i had a problem which caused my pc to restart
was when my ram wasn't working properly
Idk if you just bought a new one?

something might be messed up in your BIOS settings. have you taken a look and tried to set the defaults at the BIOS settings screen?
