You generally don't want to get a cheap motherboard unless all of the other components are going to be crappy anyway.

Use cheap mainboard if u are not going to overclock so much (cheap mainboards cant handle so high fsb) and if u dont need SLI/Crossfire (use 2x graphiccards)

I've a very cheap mainboard (msi P35 neo-f) and suprising, I was able to overclock my Q6600 from 2,4ghz->3,2ghz. (MY STUPID STOCK FAN MAKES ALOT OF NOISE AT 100% fanspeed WAAAAAAAAH .. but 60% is ok)

But if you dont know, or dont have any plans on overclocking, just buy the cheapest one.

and btw we would like to know what u are going to run on that computer. (e8400 is a good choice too, duo @ 3,0ghz)

hmm if im not wrong, the Gigabyte mobo is maybe better, but doesnt have any integrated graphic, like biostar, that has nvidia geforce 7050 IGP (Integrated Graphics Processor).

So if u buy gigabyte mobo, u have to pay some extra for a graphiccard. Since u are going to run it as a server, so I guess u are not going to play hardcore games.

An integrated graphics processor will do fine.

It's a G31 chipset, so there's an onboard graphics card (GMA 3100).

He mentioned PCI, and PCI is related to AGP.
