Hi all, I'm using CE to make own game hack on Chinese Games. I found that, CE 5.3 and 5.4 are having difficulty to show the correct Chinese Characters, but the 5.2 version doesn't have the problem at all. Could you please fix the bug in the future version?
I've enclosed a picture:

Oh, I guess that you are a Chinese right? I am also. That is actually Traditional Chinese, not Simplified ones. And I don't think that CE is designed for use in other languages like Chinese.

that was a bug, since the bytes on the left are supposed to only show ascii on a byte based notation. Not following that rule would cause errors when clickin on the text part and editing text on the fly (since each character has a specific byte, a chinese character can not be pinpointed, because it's 2 bytes)

So can it be fixed at all?

Yes, chinese characters using 2 bytes to show. So, is it anyway to solve it in the future version?

Maybe yes. Pehaps Dark Byte would include this in the next version of CE.

no, it's not possible to fix. It was a bug in 5.2 that has been fixed since 5.3, because as I said each character has a specific byte related position.
If you want to work with chinese, just add the address to the cheat list as an unicode string
