| When you go to google, and you type in a letter, and like e.g. r and runescape pops out from the bottom, 1) What is that called and 2) how the hell do you turn it off?!?!?!

Go to tools on your web browser, go to options, click the privacy tab, and un-tick "remember what I write" down, or something like that.

I think you can also change the settings in Internet Options.

What browser do you use?
If you use Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Internet Options

well I'm using fire-fox and on the top, on the row with "File" "Edit" there is also a tab called tools. Open that tab and at the bottom of the re-sized menu, there should be options, which is under clear private data.

Do note, if you want it to still remember what you said, hovering the mouse over the suggested word and pressing the 'Delete' key will remove that word.
