first off im not exactly sure wat a proxy is but i think it s a virus on ur ip for connecting to ports but anways

my inter net says tis connected and i am able to go into my firefox browser. However wen i try to go in games such as maplestory and windslayer it says i cannot connect to the server and for AIM it says i failed to connect and my MSN wont even open wen i click the browser.

In this case, it would 'cache' the first request to the remote server, so it could save the information for later, and make everything as fast as possible.

There is nothing to do with any virus man. It can however allow a virus in but proxies are designed to block, not let in o.o

o well thend o u noe how i could fix this? cuz i can go in firefox but not ms wind slayer and any chat programs

Did you try redownloading it? I'm not really too sure about it if you have a virus or not though. I'm just saying that a proxy isn't a type of virus.

o cuz i had some ip virus b4 taht like made my computer not use the internet at all but it would say i was connected wirelessly

and yes i did try to re download the programs and i stilll have the problem

Try a virus scan and then make sure you have a virus.

ive done that to >.< but i gess it doesnt really matter if i fix it but itd be nice. cuz after a week or so im getting my main computer back cuz this is my back up laptop for school work and then my main computer i blew up the mother board XD cuz the wires were a little screwed in my CD drive to i was trying to fix but i got the positive negative mixed up and recieve and send xD so im getting a new mother board this week
