I need a media player without having administrating properties. And I need a mkv codec.

Any codec or lower-level program install is going to need admin priveleges. You won't get around it by using an alternate player i'm afraid.
I will suggest a player to you though and thats VLC Media Player.
And also the combined community codec pack or CCCP for short.
