At this point it is not so much the bugs though it is true Vista is limited to certain programs it is used but from what I have seen most of the ones it cannot use it does not need or has a substitute so it is personal preference on that aspect. But benchmark tests have proven that the systems Vista and XP run on about the same speed so running the same speed (some aspects unnoticeable faster, some aspect unnoticeable slower) for more money gaining only visual improvements would fall under also as personal preference. So bottom line if you have the dough or have access to getting Vista it is personal preference but there is no reason to really get it other than that. I personally ran the beta for awhile for my A+ class before it came out,the beta had a ton of bugs. Then I got the regular home edition a couple months ago and it worked nicely with my pc but I preferred XP and swapped back over.

why does opensuse support more ram but need less then?
the vista style needs around 200MB RAM

Long story short, Vista was and still can be (unless you have a good version - not basic) a very flawful system. As Vista and XP have many simalarities the only reason to get Vista over XP is if you want to try it or if you just dont like XP. Vista's interface is better, but it is very limited. |
