This is a extremely simple subject people just over think the facts and throw in there opinions. The fact is Vista was made for its visual superiority to compete with macs systems. However they rushed it and though their goals were 100% successful they had many flaws in the systems that needed to be corrected. Do not single vista out though, it happened to all operating systems when they first come out, even to XP when it was first made. As of now XP is still better performance and reliability wise but in a matter of months through better updates Vista will basically push XP to the floor in all aspects. Its design is more user friendly, security and performance settings meant to be configured to its peak already without needing to manual do them or use tools like you do in XP like internet tweaks and system hacks ect., and its visual performance and viewing is already untouchable. However I believe it still has not caught macs Leopard yet.

Are you fucking brain-dead? Seriously, I'm trying to find a hint or clue that you were being sarcastic but I can't find it.
Nobody listen to this dumb-ass. |
I will try to get over the fact that your about 7 years old and if not try not to act like one. Constructive criticism or personal opinions regardless of being negative are fine but bitching like a little girl without any explanation and basically being a disrespecting, rude, dick head kind of makes you look like a moron regardless of whether I was the one with the wrong assumption and you were right so please grow up and when you hit maybe 10 you might be ready for the real world. My apologies for my own language.

My computers been running slow, and I'm thinking of reformatting.
I'm thinking of using Vista, but don't know.
So, what are the pros / cons of it..
I don't really play any games, except for MapleStory once in a long while..
I mostly just mess around, do websites, browse the net, screw around on Photoshop..
Opinions please!
XP or Vista!? |
Vista needs graphic card like a 3D shooter so if you PC is slow its not recommended

Run-on sentence is still running.
I myself will be giving Vista a go on my next setup, which should be around when they buff out nearly all of the kinks.
Although, I'm having doubts that they are really still working on Vista in full force anymore, and have moved onto Windows 7 work...

Vista's interface is nice.
But you have to disable all those gadgets to make it work fast.

Yes, you can disable it, but doing so is stupid. |
The more ram, the better it works, but it's not just wasting memory, which seems to be what everyone thinks

I like vista
I reckon you shouldn't judge it with out trying.
Sure you may have "HEARD" it had a few problems but that is normal in every new OS.
It isn't easy changing from different OS's.
There are always driver issues, software issues and game issues but it they always get solved.
I bought my pc with vista.
I didn't have any problems at all except for my Video Card drivers.
3 Days later there was an update and the drivers were fixed.
I have been running vista for 6 months and I aint changing back to XP.
Vista SP1 also has been released, it has fixed many "issues".
I say test vista out with a trial or something.
It has been approximately a year and I haven't heard the word "HELP" in ages.
If you are still abit cautious then i'd wait a max of 6 months.
