How can you search for a number that has commas like 1,524?

try float or double, then you can use the , (or . dending on your systems config)

See what DarkByte said, also If you would say your games name or link to a page of the game. People here could have already been doing what ever it is your trying to accomplish and could help more.
Definitely need to try other scan types tho.

Looks to me like its most probably a text-string in-game, not directly linked to any variable that you can change...
