Is there anything that will automatically save my print screen pic to the desktop, rather then me pressing CTRL-V and saving it manually
this gets really annoying during multiple pictures

You can use a program like frag or something that records and takes screen shots of your computer. These programs usually have a option for an output of your pictures and you can choose a folder or your desktop.

On ubuntu there is. See what ubuntu uses. There most be a port to it.
