|
|
Hi guys,
My new laptop is a Toshiba Laptop and its Vista is in the bios. Iv tried googling but I can't find anything that will downgrade Vista Home Basic to Windows XP cuz Vista is the biggest piece of shit in the universe plus its a pain in the ass to run programs off it that are mean't to run on xp. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help me and if you could theres a few rewards in you for it =]

Correct me if im wrong, but i did hear some computer store technician that Microsoft has made it for some laptops that you cannot format and install XP..
They are basically squeezing you into using Vista
whats wrong with vista? If stuff doesnt run, there are many Vista drivers for it, or you can go to compatibility wizard

There's nothing wrong with vista

What do you hate about Vista that makes it weaker compared to XP? Why don't you just buy windows XP then >_>.

Ok, if its quite a recent PC, NeverForgotten is correct in regard to drivers.
Its difficult for some laptops to run anything other than vista.
For example a HP laptop a friend recently bought. He is stuck with vista (although it runs nicely on it), because HP don't offer all the drivers for the XP OS. Whether they will finally make them available at some point is unknown. For the moment they only offer certain things. Graphics drivers for example could be found by going direct to nvidias website, but the chipset drivers, webcam drivers, audio drivers, fingerprint reader drivers and a whole host of other stuff is not going to function on XP without those.
Sorry and all that

You can run programs just as good on vista. You just need to know how >_>. Don't be lazy. A lot of XP programs can run on vista. All you do is just right-click a program, go to compatibility and run as windows xp.
