just get an 8800gt, a good 3rd party cooler and overclock the shit out of it.
save a hundred something bucks and basically match the performance.

there's no way you need a 1200psu... thats probably twice as much as you'll ever need. i'd go with a 800 or 900. And with that kind of cpu and gfx why not get 4G of ram?
also, does newegg work in england? cause they're cheap and very reliable.

Newegg ships only within the US.
If the price for the Q9300 is more than $20 higher than the price for a Q6600, then I wouldn't buy it.
What's the point of buying an SLi motherboard if you aren't going to use SLi? Especially since it's a 790i.
Right now isn't the time to get DDR3, it's really expensive, and the timings aren't good compared to DDR2 (which you can get at the same speed).
You don't need a 1200Watt PSU, only if you are going to run dual CPU and SLi/CrossFire (Skulltrail) or a triple SLi configuration (780i, 790i).
Hard drives are good.

well i can see wanting an SLI motherboard in case you need to upgrade in the future. And I agree with superweapons on the fact that 1066 just isnt worth it right now. go for some DDR2s if you want to save some money.
So if you get a cheaper PSU (800-900W) and get DDR2 then you could easily afford 4G of memory, and still have more money than before.

A 1200w PSU is completely excessive for that system, a good 500w would have no trouble powering it. Go for a 750w at most, which will allow for future upgrades.

Great build but a few things could change.
The Q9300 is 2.5ghz. I would go for the Q6600 2.4ghz, the price difference is surprising.
I love the 2Gb 1066mhz DDR3 but i would for a 3rd because your other build parts are already so good.
You don't need 1200Wat. It's costly and none of all that energy would be used.
I wouldn't go for 500Wat but i wud go for 750Wat.
Finally, this isn't as important but 2x160Gb 7200R/pm HDD.
I would go for 500GB 7200 R/pm, wudnt cost u much more.
Or 160gb total, 10000 RPM.
I know i might be saying alot but its still a great build.
I would recommend to change psu and processor main things.

i like it, better than what i ever could afford.
just make ure you use those HDD's in RAID-0 configuration, since they're the same , there's no reason not to, and you'll love the spead increase.
