well its a vaio that was bought in china like a year ago. but i pressed f10 or f11 or f9 or f12 i couldnt remember which one it took me to a recover ulitiy. cuz the computer wasnt working so i deided to do the recover ulitity. does thismean thiscomptuer filesall gonefrombefore and i see the c drive and maxium capacity of g is 27g. and i dont think it ispossiblefor a viao sony labtop can be a 27 g total. so does that mean the stuff is all in here?

You should find something telling you what exactly it does.

try "recover my files" good program. i recoverd lots of lost images and files.

u can get professionals or download free programs online and get the files back. MAKE SURE U DON'T DOWNLOAD ANY MORE STUFF ONTO THE HARD DRIVE, IT WILL GIVE U A LOWER CHANCE OF GETTING ANYTHING BACK.

That would just be a 30 gig hard drive. If you understood how hard drives are marketed, you'd understand that. It appears you had no idea what you were doing and formatted the hard drive.

Try download a small program called 'Recuva'. It's free and could possibly recover your friend's files.
