I get around 0.5 -- 2 GB/Day.
And my connections is like 8 Meg

Its got nothing to do with the distance between your town and the ISP's base
Its a little more in-depth than that.
You're slow speeds could be factored by a number of issues, such as line length from your telephone exchange, line quality, EM interference (either in the house...or more likely around you're area), old-style BT ring-wiring in your home can cause a sort of interference by picking up stuff from around the house, having a crap ISP full-top etc...
Most cases of slow speed are caused by the first 2, and there is nothing you can do about that, unless you move house, bundle multiple broadband lines together (not an option for home users) or switch to cable (if you area has it) or satellite broadband..which is nice cause you can get it anywhere...buts its expensive and the latency is huuuuge, between half a second to a second. So you aint playing games or streaming audio/video and such

Mine is 30GB for peak period (8am - 10pm weekdays) and 300GB offpeak (from 10pm friday through to 8am the following monday).
I can't say I ever need more...do it all off-peak... mind you, so do all the other users too, lol, and it can become quite slow...sometimes sub-2meg

Hehe talktalk, virgin, tiscali and BT are going down the pan at a phenomenal rate....and funnily enough its though exact ISP's that have been haveing talks about these revolutionary new advertising methods, to track users habits and find the best way to force adds on ya....hmm...
I'm with UKFSN...and just like ADSL24, Vivaciti and someother ones are actually resellers of Entanet.
Its their network that is used, and its the best you can get in the UK bar none, unless you go with fast.co.uk, but they are quite pricey in comparison.
Check here;
www.dslzoneuk.net
I site of a friend of mine, has a very nice rating page and a lot of info that other broadband/dsl sites miss out

No chance. 10meg is theoretical for a start, you have all sorts of overhead not limited to just the exchanges broadband equipment. Then you have congested ISP's and traffic-shaping, and one of them will affect you at some point during the day, every day.
So theres really no need to lie... at least get you figures right :p | Wanna make a bet? It's totally possible. Do some calculations and you will see.
Easily count 24*4.4GB = 105.6 GB. And that data wasn't even transferred from my local ISP's network. If it was, it'd be a bit high I guess.. Can you setup at least 10Mbps server and I'll leech a >100GB file (to /dev/null :P) in a day, k? (Supposing that the speeds will be 'kay.)
And about congestion/traffic-shaping: my ISP hasn't oversold (what's the right term in English) their B/W (yet). And if you used multiple connections, you can get the speeds you want.
PS. Uh, sorry for late reply. I don't read this forum very often.

Why the heck should I live in the UK to get my comments "applied"?

Hehe, I did some work at the nearby college, and on a regular day, when everyone logs on and starts doing their stuff, we've got a downstream rate of approx. 40Mb/s, and an upstream of about 30Mb/s.
Now there are several staff members that like to set their torrents going in a morning rofl!
Thats some serious data-exchange. But thats leased lines for ya.
Price is sick too though, we're talking thousands a month for that sort of bandwidth...
