Well I'm new to Cheat Engine and im having some problems.

What I've managed to do
-Hack Defend Your Castle
-Gold Hack WC3 TFT ( Single Player )

But in other games I search the value 4 bytes come up with nothing. Some games I need X8 but not all flash games? Any sign when or when not to. Also not sure if to search 4byte or floats or what not. I know floats have like decimals thats about it. Don't know about doubles either.

Only made it to the Pointers part in CE tut.

lol wood is the same, hp and damage isn't, but for damage you just search lowest one

and x8 isn't the rule that's always right...

Unfortunately not. Depends entirely on the game. Some may store main variables as type 'float' and some 'byte', '4-byte' and so on.

Generally, if you know that a value is going to have a decimal in it, like you quite rightly stated, then search for float as your first choice.

Double is similar to float, but the data-size is larger and is hardly ever used in a game...at least you won't come across it hardly ever when searching for trainable values. A 'float' is a much more efficient way of storing values in a program as complex as a game.

Otherwise, start all your scans with '4-byte'. This usually encourages the best results.
Byte values you will find at some point... if in the game you know that a certain value cannot pass 255 (the max range for a byte) then you know that trying to search for 'byte' would be a good choice.

As a final note, the general flash 'x8' rule applies to flash version 8 or 9 games.
That is all pretty much generalized for ya!

Welcome to the wonderful world of gamehacking Very Happy
