|
Well, I have been meaning to buy more RAM for my computer (currently running on 0.99GB) And I was looking at
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146569
As it is supposed to work with my Dell dimension 5150.
Anyway it says essentials: windows vista.
Questions:
- Do I have to use windows vista?
- Will it speed up my CPU significantly?
- I should also get a video card?
Please, state your opinons to every questions, and mainly question one. Thanks.

That is some serious crap, I would definitely not get it.
Just build a custom computer, they are much more reliable, powerful, and cheaper.

No you do not have to use windows vista, they just want you to buy it along, but it is not needed
2gb yes it will, depends on what you are using, if its for games/ multitasking etc yes it will
Video card- your choice, but it wont help with your computers speed just the graphics

I just looked up your computer, it's still a single core, definitely time for a new computer.

2GB is enough for everything daily but certainly not for working purposes like 3D rendering and stuff like that.
