|
|
I've seen guides on how to Dual Boot between XP/Vista/Linux, but not a guide on how to install all three and be able to choose between them easily.
I want to tri boot XP, Vista, Linux.
And I wonder if I can expand it to encompass more OS's (such as a different distro of Linux), and how would I un-install one of those OS's? Just delete it with one of th other OS's?
Any help would be appreciated.

Dual booting is not even worth it, so just stick with one operating system. It gets too confusing manging that two, what makes you think three will be any better?

Here's the deal:
I use XP for mostly everything, I want Vista (I have a small version of it, uses 600MB HD and 200MB RAM, using it for DX10 games only), and I want linux (don't know what distro yet) for learning purposes and because I get bored often and it will get me something to tinker with.
Now I have 3 HDs in my laptop, so I could just install one onto each HD and just switch the HD that first boots, but I'd rather just have my 320GB as the HD that has all the OS's on it, and use my other two as storage.

DSL is not meant for PCs, its original purpose was to be put on cellular devices. I'm not sure if its formatting is correct for PCs.
Also, you might not even need 3 HDDs, just the space in them. You would only need to partition the drives for EXT3, FAT32, and NTFS.
