My desktop computer just started making this funny noise It's coming from the computer itself and im not sure how to describe it. Its just a wierd noise that happenes every few minutes. My CPU shouldnt be over-clocked or anything so im not sure what the problem it. Thanks!

Have you recently moved your HD at all? Like physically picked your computer up and moved it? You may have a wire loose or something hitting the fan. I would open it up and check it out.
Its not hard at all to open up anyways

Otherwise your computer might be getting to old.
But yeah, open it up and look for loose wires.
That is everything I know.

For someone who posts here to ask what a noise is from his pc, how do you know it was from over clocking?
I think it is dirt in the fans.... making them hum and carry on.

Did you do this over-clocking yourself? Or did it come over-clocked?:S
Anyway, I agree with Labyrnth, it could well be the fans. Open it up and take a look.

| Overclocking wouldn't make noise, outside of the fans deciding the spin up due to extra heat.
