If you're using VB6 I can help out.

I'm using VB 2008. Does mini-OS stand for mini operating system? Do you mean like design one like on that wincustomize site?

I have 08 express, don't know much about it though.
And yeah, basically a mini-computer inside a window, not a real OS though.

Yeah google wincustomize. They already have tonnns though. But yeah, I guess this could turn into a mini-OS.

It would need a lot of work though. Maybe a 2-4 person team.

I would help, but only expect me to do the coding. I absolutely suck at graphic editing.

VB 08 is just short for 2008.

And by the way VB is a language. VB 2008/VB6 etc is the API.

A lot of codes in VB 2008 are different from VB6

For example to shut an application it used to be this:

Code:
WM_DESTROY

or
Code:
WM_CLOSE

those codes are unavailable for vb 2008

Those are windows notifications, dopes. This is why VB is bad for you, you're going to be clueless when you have to deal with them.

You'll get the WM_CLOSE and WM_DESTROY notifications when your window is ... take a guess. You wouldn't actually be terminating the process if you sent one of those, you'd close the window, not the actual process. Send WM_QUIT instead or use TerminateProcess (or use the managed way, System.Diagnostics.Process.Kill)

You can watch for windows notifications in .NET, but you have to override WndProc and declare everything.
