i've got a virus,a friend gaved me a file called game.exe and it looked like an exe file,i opened it and said idk what error,next that my friend telled me that is a keylogger from http://box.irpcdot.com/enhelp.php ,and the single way to escape it is to re-insall windows,but i losted the cd.the nod32 was outdated,and now when i press ctr+alt+del it closes it automaticaly,the same for the anti virus.in the file where u make the virus writes: [codeSendY! pass;Send DialUp pass;Disable TaskMan;Hide Run in Startmenu;Disable Win Firewall;Disable Kasperky AV;Disable Installing Any Anti Virus And FIrewalls;Send Computer name and XP user;Disable Regedit;Disable Msconfig;Disable Y!save pass;Disable Mcafee AV;Disable Norton AV;Disable ZoneAl FW;Kill NOD32 AV.[/code]
any solution?

Do a system restore to a date before you opened the virus.
An .exe file can easily hold a virus. Before you open any unknown files, always scan them with virusscan.jotti.org.

just system restore, and next time don't be stupid and open files like that. exe's is one of the easiest ways to give someone a virus, if they're dumb enough to open it.

It's so easy to make a batch into a .exe.
Next time if you have some suspicious file open it with notepad and look at the code

I dont know much but i'd say just use system restore and set it to before you downloaded the stupid virus
Note:what kind of friend is that? I'd throw something pointy at him or at least punch him in the face |

Same, though I want to make sure that the system restore will solve the problem.
I like pranking my roommate by messing with his laptop, but I try to stick to things that A) won't do permanent damage B) I can undo quickly C) Is more annoying than irritating. |
