First off, i would like to say that i have done my extensive research. I have not jumped in and asked a question without trying to figure it out on my own using the search function.

I am trying to find a pointer of a game i play called "SomX". I am following the tutorial that is shown Here:

I have gotten to the step where i find out what writes to this value. I then get this:

As far as i can tell i don't have three values like the tutorial says. When i double click on the value i have i get this:

Here is the problem. I am supposed to enter a value then search for it with 4 bytes and the hex box checked. But when i search i get no results.

I hope that i can get a answer. Again i have tried my best to do it on my own but i cannot understand. Thanks in Advance.

Ok if you get no results you can also use pointer scanner on the address you found when scanning. Not the one found in the debugger.

But if you wanted to you can write a script right now to alter that assembly you have and it should work. *Of course since this is a MMO your possibly not going to change anything but your client visual.

ACDCC1 mov [ecx+eax+30],edx

[ecx+eax+30] = and address
edx = value of 840 in hexa and in game you see 2112.

mov edx,270F
mov [ecx+eax+30],edx

edx,270F moves in game value of 9999 into edx
Then edx is moved to the address.

270F hexadecimal = 9999 decimal
Used in assembly = What you see in game

The pointer scanner gives nothing as well. I dont understand the bottom half of your post so i guess i need to do more research.

im not trying to change any values, i want the values to stay the same. I just want to read what they are. So i am trying to get a pointer to do that. But whatever i search always yields 0 results.

OH................., so your just wanting to read the value. You never said anything about that from the start.

Pointer scan will reveal a pointer you got to know how to use it.
or keep going over the tutorial and trying to understand how to do it manually.

i have tried every option there is in the pointer scan it yields no results. It doesn't matter how many times i read the tutorial the tutorial isnt working for me.

Higher level pointers. And the tutorial will help you know how to manually dig out a pointer.

ok for pointer you need to search for the value of "ecx" register.
because your pointer is in "ecx".
and for offset the value of "eax" register in here is 6fc0 so in hex 6fc0+30=6FF0.
your pointer is should be some thing like this:
ecx+66FF0=address
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
want my advise try to learn code injection.the easiest way is code injection.
